By Dmitry Drozdov: I think January is on a trail up to Lafayette mtn. By John Welch: Good guess, but actually its near the summit of Mt. Pierce, looking at Mt. Washington and the other Presidential peaks. This was shot very early on a January morning that was -10 F air temp with 30 mile per hour winds after a fresh snow. The result was beautiful untouched snow and drifts and complete solitude on this often popular peak. It did take until halfway through the drive home for my hands to warm up though.... By Nina: Beautiful photos! As a life-long hiker of the White Mountains, these shots are a treasure to see. Can't wait to have this calendar on my wall at home - for both inspiration and calming :)
