2 Loon Habitat:

I honestly didn't spend time photographing the nesting sites. The reason is that I didn't want to put any stress on the loon at this critical time. Here is a nest that I kept an eye on from a distance that didn't hatch until July 19th this year! I later learned that this was the second nesting attempt that year after a fight with an intruding loon disrupted the first attempt. I was glad I kept my distance this year. For this shot I had used a 600mm, cropped heavily, and literally only spent a few seconds taking a couple of photos (that is why this is a terrible photo!). Just wanted a shot for the project.
