Presidential Range in Winter

Fierce cold (-5 degrees air, -30 windchill) and winds on Mt. Pierce created a beautiful landscape of snowdrifts on the trail near the junction of the Crawford Path and Webster Cliff Trail (also part of the Appalachian Trail). It was special to break trail up Crawford Path to Mt. Pierce and see the delicate drifts on trail with nice reflected morning light before anyone else had gotten there. Mt. Washington and the rest of the Presidential Range is in the distance.
