Apache Trail

Normally I am not a fan of "roadside" photography, but the dirt road section of the Apache Trail (route 88) has such a great backcountry feel! There are many opportunities to frame Saguaro Cactus against the jagged peaks in the area. The no guard rail dirt switch back with cliffs protruding into the road section above Fish Creek is also one of the scariest driving experiences I have had!
