The Grand Canyon is lit by beautiful color as seen from the switchback section of the Grandview Trail at sunset. This photo shows the route of the Grandview Trail down across the break in the nearest butte at the bottom right. The trail then hops onto Horseshoe Mesa (the long ridge seen farthest right). I have hiked all the way to the far tip of Horseshoe Mesa (seen as the left prong on the far right ridge) on a previous trip which traverses a narrow section and ends with views to the Colorado river.
