Reflected Light Ripples, Coos Canyon, Maine - Fall Foliage in New England

A beautiful section in Coos Canyon Maine. One thing I love about the canyon country of the American Southwest is the golden reflected light. Here in New England there are less chances to work with such light given our dense green forests. However, fall provides an excellent time to find less common orange and red reflected light. When bodies of water are in the shade, but the adjoining hillsides are in sun you get reflected light like in this photo. The near peak fall foliage oranges created this beautiful color in the water. This lighting will happen a few hours after sunrise and a few hours before sunset, very convenient for photographers looking to extend their shooting time when the otherwise too harsh full sun daylight has made other shots undesirable.
