February: Beehive Mountain from Sand Beach, Acadia National Park

This year I finally made it to Acadia National Park in winter. I took this shot on the last day of that trip. It was a 9-degree air temp morning with gusty winds making the experience of capturing this less pleasant than the photo looks. Having a migraine didn't help either. Spotty snow showers were hitting the coast so I only had a few seconds where the Beehive was lit up fully like this around sunrise. Even given all that, the trip to hike and photograph in Acadia was well worth it.
