Alpenglow and Agave

The colorful last light of the day illuminates the Grand Canyon while an agave plant clings to life on the edge of the canyon. The popular South Kaibab Trail follows Cedar Ridge, on the other side, and ultimately leads down to the river, which is still 1500 vertical feet lower than the deepest part of the canyon visible in this photo.
