Details on the Appalachian Trail

The AT is known as the green tunnel because of its general wooded corridor that lack grand scenic views. There are all kinds of beautiful details along the way, like this mushroom that just pushed through the earth within a day or two of me photographing it (you tell by the dirt on top) framed in a perfect patch of wood sorrell (not clover). A framing this clean in the choas of the Eastern Woodlands is rare.
