Summer to Fall

In this image of a water lily, the greens that have existed throughout the long days of summer are still dominant in one but all but gone and transformed to autumns yellow in the other. Both leaves are starting to exhibit the brown spots of decay and death that will be the plant’s fate at the end of this process.
