August: Stream Scene, Acadia National Park

Late summer can be the least inspiring time for a photographer. Hazy hot days, no spring babies or migrations, low water flow, and no fall colors. It is a good time to take advantage of a cloudy day and find intimate little scenes. The seedling maple growing out of the rock provides a hint of the autumn changes about to come.
